1. Who we are
Nor Al Hoda Private School is operated by Nor Al Hoda for Educational Development (نور الهدي للتنمية التعليمية), located behind the Water Utility, Mishtoul El Souq, Sharqia Governorate, Egypt. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal data of parents/guardians, students and staff, including when we communicate via WhatsApp.

2. Data we collect
- Students: name, stage, grade and class, attendance/absence/lateness, fees and payments, and academic data needed for schooling.
- Parents/guardians: name, phone and WhatsApp number, email, relationship to the student.
- Staff: name, phone number, attendance and lateness records.
- Communications: messages exchanged with us via WhatsApp or other channels, delivery/read status, and timestamps.
3. How we use data
- Running the school's educational and administrative operations.
- Sending service notifications such as student absence or lateness, fee reminders, payment receipts, meeting reminders, and staff absence or lateness.
- Answering parents' inquiries and routing them to the responsible staff member.
- Complying with applicable laws, regulations and instructions from official authorities, including the Ministry of Education.
We do not sell personal data and do not use it for third-party marketing.
4. WhatsApp communication
- We use the WhatsApp Business Platform provided by Meta to send notifications and receive inquiries.
- We only message numbers registered with the school whose owners have agreed to receive school notifications.
- When you send an inquiry, its content may be shown to the responsible staff member so they can reply, and it is stored in the school's system for follow-up.
- Meta's processing of messages is governed by its own terms and privacy policy.
- To stop messages: send "STOP" (or «إيقاف») to the school's WhatsApp number, or contact the school office. Essential messages related to student safety may continue unless you request otherwise in writing.
5. Sharing
We share data only as necessary with:
- Service providers acting on our behalf, such as Meta (WhatsApp), hosting providers and our school management system, who may use the data only to provide their service.
- Government and official authorities when required by law.
6. Retention
We keep student and guardian data for the duration of enrollment and afterwards for the period required by law. Message logs are kept for no longer than two years unless a longer period is legally required.
7. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect data against unauthorized access, loss or alteration, and limit access to authorized staff only.
8. Children's data
Student data is collected through parents/guardians and used only for the educational and administrative purposes described in this policy.
9. Your rights
Under Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020, you may:
- Access the data we hold about you and your children.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion or restriction of data, to the extent permitted by law.
- Withdraw your consent to receive WhatsApp messages at any time.
